Kirsten is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in supporting women newly diagnosed with ADHD, including mothers who are beginning to understand how ADHD impacts their parenting, relationships, and sense of self. She works with clients who are making sense of a late diagnosis—often after years of feeling overwhelmed, overstimulated, or chronically “behind”—and helps them move from self-blame toward clarity, self-compassion, and practical change.
Diagnosed with ADHD later in life herself, Kirsten understands both the relief and the grief that can come with finally having an explanation. For many women, symptoms become more pronounced during motherhood, when the mental load, emotional labor, and constant demands of caring for others can feel relentless. Kirsten supports mothers in untangling old narratives, understanding their nervous system and brain, and developing tools that actually work for their lives and families—not just idealized expectations.
Kirsten has a special interest in ADHD during pregnancy and the postpartum period, as well as the unique challenges faced by creative professionals and those in fast-paced or high-pressure environments. Her background in film and photography trained her to notice the moments in between—the subtle patterns beneath the surface—which now inform her thoughtful, attuned therapeutic approach.
Kirsten often describes her role as “seeing the game from the stands”: offering perspective that helps clients recognize what’s really happening and make intentional changes on the field. She creates a supportive, nonjudgmental space where women—especially mothers—feel deeply understood, validated, and empowered to build a life and parenting experience that works with their ADHD, not against it.
